Задача: После краха сервера восстановить исторические данные значений тегов (History Blocks)
Исходные данные:
1. Backup файл MS SQL Server 2005 (все БД).
2. Полная копия всех History Blocks.
3. BackUp Galaxy Database

Описание:
Взялся за настройку резервного копирования данных. Думаю а вот дай-ка я проверю, восстановятся ли данные после краха системы.
1. Беру другую машинку, ставлю на нее весь фарш (MS SQL Server, Windeows Server 2003 SP2, IndustrialSQL Sever, InTouch etc.) В общем все что нужно для счастья.
2. Восстанваливаю поочередно все БД в MS SQL Server.
3.Первым делом восстанавливаю БД Galaxy. О MIRICLE!!! Восстанваливается (ну это мы уже проходили и это есть гут что работает).
4. Хочу восстановить исторические данные....... Перебрал все мануалы. НЕТУ. Есть типа :

Backing Up History Blocks
As history blocks are created, it may be necessary to move some of the data files to long-term storage media to make room for new history blocks to be stored to disk. You can also back up history blocks or portions of history blocks to the permanent storage area.

Note A new block is created if any data file becomes larger than 1.5 GB.

Backing up history blocks to storage media.
It is highly recommended that you back up the history blocks to long-term storage media such as to DAT tape or to CDs. You can perform backups using the Windows Backup utility.

For detailed information on how to back up and restore data files using the Windows Backup utility, see your Microsoft Windows documentation.

Although historical data backed up to removable media is not readily available to client applications, the data is still accessible if you retrieve the files from the tape and place them on a hard disk. If you have a current record of DAT tapes and the files they contain, you can more easily retrieve the information.

Backing up history blocks to the permanent storage location.
You can copy history blocks or a subset of history blocks to the "archive" historical path (permanent storage area). This allows for the "capture" of a plant event by reducing the size of the history block. For example, a plant trip time span might be of two hours. These two hours will be put in a history block of 24 hours for most cases. A "snapshot" of these two hours can be copied to the archive path.

To copy a subset of data, use the xp_DiskCopy extended stored procedure. For more information on the extended stored procedures, see Stored Procedures.

Note Microsoft SQL Server caches previously retrieved data for use in future queries during the current logon. If the history blocks have been altered in any way (for example, as a result of a history block copy), clients must disconnect and reconnect to the server so that the cache is refreshed with the latest data.
